第一次聽到這首歌是高中時代。電台DJ天天播，詞義淺顯易懂，一下子就學起來了，順便從歌詞中學了一點文法。高中同學們很愛聽英文歌，社團活動或下課有時會圍著一起唱新歌。這首歌是其中之一，其他印象比較深刻的，還有電影里見八犬傳的主題曲_Satomi Hakken den。
最近在廣播又聽到這首歌，感覺突然大不相同。一群阿公級老人在演唱會上以不插電的方式演唱，簡單的樂器，簡單的合音，再熟悉不過的歌詞卻有了不同的感動。二三十歲年輕小伙子唱 I will die for you，只讓人覺得熱血、執著，有點浪漫過頭。五六十歲的歐吉桑唱 I wiil die for you，你會由衷的相信他的真誠。人生過了一大半了，還有如此的熱情，怎不讓人動容呢？
